The Sukhoi Su-34 (NATO reporting name: Fullback) is a Russian twin-engine strike aircraft developed from the Su-27 airframe to replace the Su-24. Its prototype, the T-10V-1, first flew on 13 April 1990, but the economic crisis that followed the fall of the Soviet Union slowed the programme for years. Its armoured side-by-side cockpit, nicknamed the "bathtub", seats a pilot and a navigator-operator, and the crew can stand up and move around the cabin on missions that can last about ten hours. The Su-34 was officially adopted by the Russian Air Force in March 2014 and is built in Novosibirsk. It entered combat in Syria in 2015 and has been used in Ukraine since 2022. Its drooping nose earned it the nickname "Platypus" (Utkonos) among Russian crews. Mod by STL785. Camouflage by Sahar_3ok.
