STL-Pantsir-SM-SV

The Pantsir-SM-SV is the tracked member of the Pantsir-SM family of short-range air defence systems, developed by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau in Tula for the air defence troops of the Russian Ground Forces. Its existence was first announced in December 2021 by Lieutenant General Alexander Leonov, head of the Ground Forces air defence. The vehicle went through its final trials in January 2024, its combat trials were reported in August 2024, and the first photograph of one in the field appeared in March 2025. Mounted on a tracked chassis of the GM family, its combat module carries two twin-barrel 30 mm 2A38M autocannons, eight containers for the 95Ya6M and 95Ya6 missiles, the former able to reach targets about 40 km away, and four packs of four TKB-1055 small missiles meant for drones and other small targets at short range. A rotating search radar sits on the turret roof, the tracking radar and an optronic station face forward, and six 81 mm Tucha launchers can hide the vehicle behind smoke. In game, the cannons fire with the main trigger, the 95Ya6M and 95Ya6 missiles with the secondary weapon button and the TKB-1055 missiles with F4; every missile guides itself to the target. Each container or tube holds a single missile, so the vehicle carries eight large missiles in all, four 95Ya6M and four 95Ya6, and sixteen TKB-1055, launched one at a time, while each of the four cannon barrels carries 351 rounds, 1,404 in all as in War Thunder, split evenly between the three belts (468 each). There is no reserve load: the vehicle carries an ammunition crate skill instead, and once triggered, the crew builds the crate in 15 seconds and then rearms in 40 seconds, so the vehicle and every friendly vehicle within 15 m are fully rearmed after 55 seconds, with their engine power halved meanwhile; it can be used again 42 seconds after it was triggered. When the cannons fire, spent cases fly out on both sides of the turret and thick white smoke builds up in front of the vehicle. While its booster burns, each missile shows a bright comet-like flame, then a small red light that keeps it visible from far away. The search radar, which can detect aircraft out to about 70 km, feeds a War Thunder style screen that covers 360 degrees with display scales from 5 to 100 km, a list of the detected targets beside it and an interface that switches between English and Chinese. Mod by STL785, who also designed the whole radar interface from scratch.
