(Please read the end of this description carefully — in both languages. / 请仔细阅读本简介结尾部分 — 中英双语。) The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II — the "Warthog" — was born from a hard lesson of Vietnam: close air support needed a dedicated, survivable gunship rather than a borrowed fighter. Built around its own weapon, the seven-barrel GAU-8/A Avenger 30 mm cannon, the pilot sits in a titanium armor tub behind thick armored glass, while twin high-mounted TF34 turbofans, redundant flight controls and self-sealing fuel tanks let it absorb damage that would down most aircraft. Its large straight wing trades outright speed — around 700 km/h clean — for excellent low-speed handling and a short landing roll over the target. This version also carries Hydra-70 rocket pods and laser-guided Paveway bombs. Remastered by STL785 from XF's A-10.
