STL-SAMPT

STL-SAMP/T is the first multi-vehicle mod: a single vehicle made up of several vehicles that fight together. You drive the radar vehicle and call up to two missile launchers onto the battlefield beside it. The SAMP/T (Sol-Air Moyenne Portée/Terrestre), known in French service as Mamba, is a ground-based air and missile defence system developed for France and Italy by Eurosam, a consortium of MBDA and Thales. It has been in French service since 2010. A battery pairs the Arabel radar, whose antenna turns once per second to watch the whole sky, with launcher trucks that each carry eight Aster 30 missiles in vertical containers. The Aster 30 is launched straight up, tips over towards its target, drops its booster and flies at up to Mach 4.5, about 1.4 km per second, with a range of more than 100 km against aircraft. In game, the radar vehicle detects aircraft out to 80 km all around it but does not fire itself. Aim where you want a launcher and a light grey preview shows where it will appear, up to 24 m away. Press B to switch between the radar vehicle and the launchers, and N to turn the radar on or off. A launcher can only fire when it is stopped with its containers raised and the radar on, and each one carries eight Aster 30 missiles that guide themselves to their target. Mod by STL785.
