If you find any bugs, please feel free to contact me on Discord. The Tiger II (P) was Porsche's entry in the competition for Germany's new heavy tank. Its key features included a gasoline-electric drive system and the early production turret (often misnamed the "Porsche turret," but actually a Krupp design). Porsche's complex design lost to Henschel's more conventional proposal due to reliability issues and technical immaturity. Only about 50 Tiger II (P) chassis were built. Some were fitted with pre-production turrets and saw limited combat service, but performed poorly. Most chassis were later converted into Jagdtiger tank destroyers, while the distinctive early turrets were used as static fortifications on the West Wall.
