Skin Export & Community Sharing Tutorial

1. Exporting a Skin

  1. Go to the Garage, select a vehicle, and open Camouflage → Custom Textures.
  2. Click Export Textures, then enter a name for your skin (letters and numbers recommended; avoid special characters).
  3. On PC, the save directory will open automatically after a successful export:
    Mod Directory/Export Textures/VehicleName/YourSkinName/
    ├─ xxx.png ← editable texture
    ├─ yyy.png
└─ skin_schema.json ← skin metadata (do not delete or edit)

On mobile, the directory won't open automatically — use a file manager to navigate to the Mod directory.

2. Editing Textures

  1. Open the PNG file in your preferred image editor (Photoshop, Krita, Procreate, etc.) and make your changes.
  2. Keep the original filename, then save/overwrite as PNG.
  3. Back in the game, go to Camouflage → Custom Textures and click Sync Folder.
  4. Click your skin in the list to preview the result.
To revert to the original: click Clear Custom Textures and restart the game as prompted.

It's a good idea to back up the original textures first so you can restore them if needed.

3. Uploading to the Community

Fill in the following fields on the community website's upload page:

Field Description
Skin info file Select skin_schema.json from the export directory
Texture files Select the PNG(s) you modified (unmodified ones can be skipped)
Description Up to 500 characters
File tag The download filename — only letters, numbers, _, and - allowed; max 40 characters
After submitting, the server will automatically compress and package the textures — no need to create a zip manually.
Limits: up to 16 textures, each original file ≤ 10 MB, PNG/JPG only.
Editing an existing upload: go to "My Skins" and click Edit. Textures you haven't changed can be kept as-is; only replace the ones you want to update.

Each skin can only be uploaded once per account. Attempting to upload a duplicate will prompt you to edit the existing submission instead.

4. Installing Someone Else's Skin

  1. Download the .modpack file from the community.
  2. Place it directly into the game's Mod directory (no need to extract).
  3. Restart the game, go to the relevant vehicle's Camouflage → Custom Textures → Sync Folder, and click to apply.

Skins are bound to specific vehicles — placing one on the wrong vehicle will not display it.

5. Tips

  • Currently only the main body texture can be modified; normal maps, metalness maps, etc. are not yet supported.
  • Multiple skins can be stored for the same vehicle and switched at any time from the list.
  • It's best to match the original texture dimensions; the server will automatically downscale to a maximum of 2048 pixels.
